Version of 8 November 2026. The Spanish version prevails over the French and English translations.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. Article 22.2 of Ley 34/2002 (LSSI-CE, Spanish Information Society Services Act) requires us to inform you about cookies and to ask for your consent, except for those that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested.
The same rule applies to other techniques for storing data on your device, such as the browser's local storage or the phone's secure storage.
2. What MADCINE+ uses today
Today MADCINE+ uses only strictly necessary cookies and storage. We do not use analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies, whether our own or third-party. That is why we do not show you a consent banner: there is nothing to accept or reject.
Website
| Name | Type | What it is for | Duration | Owner |
|---|---|---|---|---|
payload-token | session cookie, HttpOnly | keep you signed in after you sign in | 2 hours or until you sign out | MADCINE+ |
madcine_perfil | cookie, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax | remember which profile of the account you have chosen, to show its list, its history and, if it is a children's profile, only works suited to its age | 1 year; renewed each time you choose a profile. Today it is not deleted when you sign out, but without an open session it gives access to nothing | MADCINE+ |
madcine-desbloqueados | browser local storage | remember which Festival works you have already unlocked for voting, so the unlock animation does not repeat | until you clear your browser data | MADCINE+ |
Both cookies are first-party: only MADCINE+ reads them. The HttpOnly flag stops a script on the page from reading them. In production they also carry the Secure flag and only travel over an encrypted connection.
The madcine-desbloqueados entry only contains work numbers. It identifies no one and does not leave your browser. It is strictly necessary: it only serves to provide the feature you asked for, so it does not require consent (Article 22.2 LSSI-CE).
iOS and Android apps
The apps do not use cookies. They store the following in the phone's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android):
| Key | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|
mc.token | keep you signed in | until you sign out or the session expires |
mc.perfil | remember the chosen profile | until you change profile or sign out |
mc.locale | remember the chosen language | until you change it or uninstall the app |
mc.onboarding | avoid repeating the initial introduction | until you uninstall the app |
Payment
When you pay, Stripe's payment page opens on Stripe's domain. Stripe may use its own cookies there to process the payment and prevent fraud. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's policy, not by this one. MADCINE+ does not load Stripe scripts on its own pages.
3. How to delete them
You can delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings. If you do, you will be signed out and will have to choose your profile again. In the apps, signing out deletes the stored session and profile; uninstalling them deletes everything.
Inventory made on 7 November 2026 from the code of the website and the apps. It must be repeated before each publication of this policy.
4. If this changes
If one day we use cookies that are not strictly necessary, for example to measure audiences, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before installing them. You will be able to reject them as easily as you accept them, as the AEPD's Guía sobre el uso de las cookies (Guide on the use of cookies, Spanish Data Protection Agency) requires. You will also be able to withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it (Article 7.3 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
